"It’s all about making people dance and happy." - YUKIO

Yuki Yamanaka, or popularly known as YUKIO, is an up-and-coming Thai-Japanese DJ & Producer. Launching her career at an early age, she has been rocking clubs and festivals with her charming and beautiful progressive house – trance style. Her feel-good music not only made bodies move and brought smiles to several big clubs in and out of Bangkok, but it also reached an international platform as she toured countries one after another namely in China, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Myanmar, Indonesia, and many more.

It all started when YUKIO discovered the arcade music game called DJMax Technika when she was only 16 years old. It’s a two-screen podium with a vibrant stage and game-based lights and speakers with over a thousand song selection of various genres. As amusing as it may sound, it’s what pushed YUKIO to become a DJ. Fast forward to now (currently 24 years old), she has been making a name for herself locally and internationally.

YUKIO’s first massive opportunity came when she was asked to be a resident DJ at DEMO. It wasn’t long after when she got contracts from other major city clubs such as LEVELS Club & Lounge, Torque Club RCA, D.N.A. Club, Zenith, and, just recently, Onyx Bangkok.

When she’s not within the compounds of dance havens, she’s probably mixing songs and turning it up at live music festivals. Her first gig was at the S2O Festival, the biggest EDM Water Festival in Thailand (if not the whole world). Other notable festivals she took part it was Life in Color, Bangkok of Dreams, Songkranzonic, etc.

Her invites weren't only limited locally. Way back 2017, she landed her first stint at a festival in Laos. After that, YUKIO's alluring beats and grooves gained so much traction that it reached several Asian countries, as well. Funnily, Taiwan isn’t one of them yet because when she got the chance to play at Unite with Tomorrowland, a big storm hit the city and the event got canceled. Hopefully, Mother Nature will redeem herself and present YUKIO another time to showcase her skills in Taipei!

Truly, it’s only a matter of time that this rising DJ and producer will enter an even bigger and better arena. With her passion for progressive house music, it’s no doubt that her signature style will leave a mark in the nightlife scene.
