With the COVID-19 situation, we're all encouraged to stay at home and avoid crowded places. While it proves essential to prevent its spread, that means a temporary cool-off with our favorite bars. However, like any other relationship, long-distance (can) also work! We got in touch with some of Bangkok’s best bartenders and they shared simple cocktail recipes that you can do at home—quick, easy, and just as good as the ones you’ll have on a good Friday night out.

Our criteria are two simple things. The cocktails should only require stirring and there would be no use of any shakers or the likes. This way, everyone can do it at home so long as all ingredients are available. Don’t have the ingredients? Don’t worry! We’re going to link websites where you can order the items you lack, too.

Once you’re good to go, let’s get mixing.

Caipirinha
Prepared by: Day of Transition 24 Café & Bar

Day, Bartender at Transition 24 Café & Bar
Ingredients:
Cachaça, 50ml lime, brown sugar, ice

Method:
Step 1: Put the 50ml lime in your glass
Step 2: Crush the lime
Step 3: Add 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
Step 4: Add 1 shot of Cachaça (or rum if don't have Cachaça)
Step 5: Stir
Step 6: Add ice

Bonnie Lassie

Ingredients:
40ml Dewars 12, 30ml vanilla yogurt, 30ml pineapple-mango smoothie, 60ml cream soda

Method:
Step 1: Blend the Dewars 12, vanilla yogurt, and pineapple-mango smoothie together
Step 2: Pour into a glass
Step 3: Top with cream soda

Pampelle Negroni

30ml Harahorn Gin, 30ml Pampelle Grapefruit bitter, 30ml Carpano Extra Dry Vermouth

Method:
Step 1: Stir all ingredients over ice
Step 2: Serve in an old fashion glass with ice
Step 3: Garnish with Grapefruit slice

50ml Hendricks, 20ml fresh lime juice, 20ml homemade rosemary syrup, Fentimans Rose Lemonade

Method:
Step 1: Stir the Hendricks, fresh lime juice, and homemade rosemary syrup together
Step 2: Top with Fentimans rose lemonade
Step 3: Garnish with rose petal and rosemary sprig

Mojito Cocktail with Appleton Special White

Ingredients:
50 ml Appleton Special White, 4 wedges of lime, 8 leaves of fresh mint, 15 ml lime juice, 15 ml sugar syrup, soda water

Method:
Step 1: Gently muddle the lime wedges in the highball
Step 2: Build all ingredients over crushed ice
Step 3: Churn to mix the content
Step 4: Top with soda
Step 5: Garnish with a fresh mint sprig
